GENERAL
The Audi e-tron Quattro is an all-electric SUV produced by the German automotive manufacturer Audi AG. After years of teasing with concept vehicles and prototypes, Audi has finally launched the production version of the e-tron electric SUV and started taking reservations on Sept 17 in the US. The first purely electric vehicle from Audi offers long-range capability, room for five people, and ample cargo space and towing capacity. 
BATTERY AND CHARGING
A large 95 kWh battery offers long distance trips on a single charge. The e-tron® is engineered for both AC and DC charging via the widespread SAE Combined Charging System (CCS), and can utilize 150 kW DC high-speed public charging stations that provide an approximate 80% charge in about 30 minutes. At home, a 9.6 kW AC charger (Level 2, 240-volt/40 amps) is designed to deliver a full charge overnight.
The Audi e-tron® will utilize a dedicated cooling system which helps keep the battery operating at an optimal temperature and ensure repeatable performance.
REGENERATION
The Audi e-tron boasts a one-of-a-kind regeneration system. Regeneration helps the e-tron recapture energy from 90% of braking applications and is designed to contribute up to 30% of the vehicle’s range. The e-tron has variable regeneration modes via the steering wheel paddles that allow the driver to optimize their range depending on where they’re driving and the efficiency they want from the vehicle.
PERFOMANCE
A low center of gravity and nearly instantaneous torque output from two electric motors positioned on each axle to distribute power efficiently all add up to an unparalleled drive. The Audi e-tron battery has been carefully engineered to account for the heat generated from fast increases in speed and repeated use to ensure excellent driving capability and consistent performance.
