About Tesla Model S Standard Range

The Tesla Model S is a mid-size luxury all-electric five-door liftback car, produced by Tesla, Inc. and introduced on June 22, 2012. It is the car that changed the world view of EVs and accelerated the world's transition to sustainable transportation. Model S is the safest, quickest car on the road—with industry-leading performance, range, and storage.
SAFETY
Model S is built from the ground up as an electric vehicle, with high-strength architecture and a floor-mounted battery pack allowing for incredible impact protection.
Model S achieved the highest NHTSA safety rating of any car ever tested.
Every Model S comes standard with the most advanced active safety features like side collision warning and emergency braking.
PERFOMANCE
Tesla’s all-electric powertrain delivers unparalleled performance in all weather conditions — with dual motor all-wheel drive, instant traction and torque control and ludicrous acceleration.
Conventional all-wheel drive cars employ complex mechanical linkages to distribute power from a single engine to all four wheels. Only Tesla has the technology to provide superior and independent traction to both the front and rear wheels by using dual motors.
RANGE
Model S can get you anywhere you want to go — with industry-leading range and convenient charging options, all over the world. Model S charges up to 80% in 40 minutes on a Tesla Supercharger.
AUTOPILOT
Autopilot advanced safety and convenience features are designed to assist you with the most burdensome parts of driving. Model S comes standard with advanced hardware capable of providing Enhanced Autopilot features today, and full self-driving capabilities in the future.
INTERIOR
Model S is built with best in class storage, seating for up to five adults and two children and an expansive 17-inch touchscreen. Advanced noise engineering creates sound dynamics comparable to a recording studio, while the standard Glass Roof provides a spacious interior experience for every passenger.
TOUCHSCREEN
The Model S 17 inch touchscreen controls most of the car's functions. Opening the all glass panoramic roof, customizing the automatic climate control, and changing the radio station all happen with a swipe or a touch. The touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and steering wheel controls seamlessly integrate media, navigation, communications, cabin controls and vehicle data.
OVER-THE-AIR UPDATES
Model S is designed to improve over time with regular software updates, introducing new features, functionality, and performance.
EXTERIOR
Model S was designed for speed and endurance—with incredible aerodynamics, ludicrous performance and uncompromised aesthetics. Automatic door handles auto-present upon approach and withdraw when closed.
